My 5 Interests…..
1. pandas… I went to Washingtong, D.C. this summer and they have pandas at the National Zoo, with an entire store devoted to pandas. It was like panda heaven. I’ve loved them forever, except Ragedy Ann had a panda names Grouchy Bear, so that’s what I thought all pandas were called. I own everything from bedding to clothing to hats to purses to jewelry to you name it, I have it in panda form. My sorority name is even panda, so apparently it is quite obvious that I love them.
2. Law… although I am not a fan of politics (which doesn’t help since I am a polisci major, but w/e). I want to go to Law School and be a prosecutor against inequality in school systems based on the financial standing of the parents, lack of funding, or just because the government wants to be cheap.
3. Global Warming- Okay I know this sounds like a weird interest, but seriously guys the polar bear population will be reduced by 2/3rds in the year 2050. That is insane, and it is all due to global warming and the melting of polar ice caps. Take shorter showers and turn the lights off when you leave the room, use less electricity, any little thing can help before the world fries itself.
4. Animal Rights… I am a vegetarian, although I will not impose my views on people because everyone has their own opinions on the subject, but animals have feelings so at least don’t abuse them. If I can make it through law school, I want to do pro-bono animal rights cases.
5. The World- I like to stare out the window when I am in the car, which sometimes is seen as being “quiet” or antisocial, but I just find the things around us fascinating. I didn’t get contacts until I was 15 and I hate wearing glasses so I would just walk around blurry-eyed until I needed them to take notes in class, otherwise I made my way around. Now I just find it fascinating how clear the world can seem, and how things work around us.
Okay, so I know your thinking that I am pretty boring and these are some weird intersts, but here is some basics that don’t need much explanation:
1. I like the rain, and running around in it.
2. I like the beach, especially at night.
3. I like Disney and if I could I would live there.
4. I like going to the movies, at least for the first 20 minutes, and then I get fidgety no matter how interesting the movie may be.
5. I like Pooh Bear, he decorates my room with the pandas.
6. I like staying up late and getting up early, for sleep is just a waste of time.
7. I like the Red Sox, and I love playing baseball. I wanted to be the first professional woman baseball player when I was younger but my mom wouldn’t let me try out for little league because it was “too dangerous” so there went that dream.
8. I like watching Food Network, though I would never eat half the stuff that they cook, and nor can I cook (I’ve pretty much burnt anything you can think of, including my hand).
